How We CAN prevent homelessness!

Ready to roll up our sleeves and fight for a people-powered affordable housing initiative in LA County? With your help, we can get it on the ballot in 2024!

Join LA Forward and the Our Future LA coalition virtually Thursday, November 30 from 8-9 p.m. on Zoom. We’ll discuss our efforts for the LA County Affordable Housing, Homelessness Solutions, and Prevention Now (LACAHSA) measure – to create a sustainable funding mechanism for a comprehensive homelessness response system, as well as invest in new strategies to prevent homelessness, address encampments, and create affordable housing.

You'll learn more about the critical need for this funding, gain insights into the strategies, and learn how YOU can contribute to getting this measure on the ballot. This isn’t your typical top-down plan – this is about our collective strength and ideas.

Together, we’ll need to gather hundreds of thousands of signatures across LA County in order to make this happen in 2024!

This briefing will take place right after a special session discussing affordable housing work in the San Gabriel Valley starting at 7 p.m.

A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2024, our goal is to raise 70% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
