Join San Gabriel Valley Community Land Trust and LA Forward Institute for a film screening and discussion: 13 Pueblos en Defensa del Aire y La Tierra// 13 Towns in Defense of the Air and the Land (English subtitles). This film tells the story of the struggle of Mexican indigenous people to preserve their natural resources and their cultural identity. This documentary is a profound reflection on Mexico´s immediate future, on the eve of the centenary of its Revolution.  There will be a discussion after about how this is applicable to what is happening here and how we can learn from these “pueblos.” Are Community Land Trusts a solution?
