Grants Pass and Us: What Now? A Community Teach-In

Join LA Forward Institute and allies from Pasadena For All, Union Station Homeless Services, San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness, and others as we learn about the recent United States Supreme Court decision referred to as Grants Pass. We’ll also discuss Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent executive order which could allow for cities to criminalize poverty and homelessness; and the possible on-the-ground impact of these decisions.  There will be time for regional discussions to include LA City, Pasadena, and other cities. A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2024, our goal is to raise 70% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
