CD2 Community Convening #2

Are you a community member within the boundaries of LA City Council District 2 (CD2), currently represented by Councilmember Paul Krekorian? In early April, we started bringing residents together to build relationships across CD2 communities. You’re invited to our second meeting, where you’ll meet others eager to make Los Angeles a fair, flourishing place for everyone who lives here. This group has identified initial possibilities to organize around:

  • Ensuring the availability of affordable housing

  • Safety nets to ensure everyone who is housed stays housed!

  • Creating/maintaining safe, walkable communities while mitigating harm

  • Consistent city services/supports across cities/city council districts

Share your own stories and get plugged in for how you can move toward change. No organizing experience required. We’ll meet at Moorpark Park (12061 Moorpark St, Studio City, CA 91604), starting promptly at 5:30pm. Get more specific instructions by RSVPing below

April 2023 Monthly Meeting

A majority of our budget comes from our members’ monthly donations. In 2024, our goal is to raise 70% of our budget from dues-paying members. That will enable us to be 100% accountable to people like you. Your gift allows us to respond rapidly to emerging issues, to take on powerful interests, and spend as little time possible on fundraising so we can focus on the crucial work that needs to get done every day.
